The homes of Alpine Meadows are located in the same valley as the Alpine Meadows Ski Resort. This neighborhood provides an ideal retreat setting. The residents of the valley enjoy the added amenity of peace & quiet – where aspens, large firs & colorful maple trees provide the added solitude sought by many.
JMA Ventures, owner of the Homewood Mountain Resort on the west shore of Lake Tahoe, purchased Alpine Meadows from Powdr Corporation in July 2007. In 2011, Alpine Meadows merged with Squaw Valley. Today, the two resorts operate as one with a single-season pass and a connecting shuttle for visitors, the Squaw/Alpine Express, though each retains its distinct identity.
Although this “family-oriented” ski resort is smaller than Squaw Valley, its 2,400 acres of un-crowded skiable terrain is a local’s favorite. Alpine Meadows is just minutes from Tahoe City, Lake Tahoe, Squaw Valley, and Truckee / Interstate 80.
